Indian  tennis player who won ATP Challenger title on a European clay court.

The youngster from Haryana spoken very relaxed.

He told that" my emotions were relaxed , calm with confidence & happy with my body. This were my emotions after the match! - Sumit nagal

After title Sumit nagal's rank in world ranking will now rise to 254 by a jump of 72 place.

"For sure it feels nice to be the first Indian to do that, but it would be nicer to do that with an ATP (Tour) title," Nagal said.

"But winning a Challenger is always a good thing, especially when you have not played so much recently.

"I was the first one to win in South America (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and now in Europe. I missed out last time in 2019 when I lost in the final (in Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina). This time I was able to do it," he added.

"That is what happens, you know, unfortunately, when you don't come from a country where there are a lot of tournaments, you have to play a lot of matches to get your rank up," he said.

"The most important part is to stay healthy. If you stay healthy, you will have the breakthrough. But it is tough when you have start-stop. Since Pune I didn't play for five weeks as I got injured again and that is where it gets annoying."

"I am at my best right now. Tennis wise I don't know but I am understanding the game better. I am more calm, more relaxed. I am getting more mature I would say," he said.

"It is tough for me to look at it. Maybe I was hitting my forehand better in 2019, backhand I don't know. But I feel I am a better player right now than I was back in 2019.

"It is tough for me to compare. I was young, maybe I was more on fire that year, playing a lot of good matches and winning a lot.

"Now I feel I am a different player. As in, I am more relaxed, I am seeing the game better, moving better. I am stronger, I would say.

"It is not really easy for me to compare, maybe I am wrong but this is how I feel."
